If the fatigue meter is full, you go back to your standard form in case you were transformed and go into a weakened state were you can't attack and have to slam all the four face buttons as fast as possible to be released from the vulnerable state.īefore you start a fight, you have to choose your character and a partner, followed by three Drama Pieces. there's also a fatigue meter, which increases if you take damage, and decreases if you deal damage.
HYPER DRAGON BALL Z TELEPORTATION KAMEHAMEHA FULL
To activate Hyper mode your ki bar has to be full and with it you can teleport behind your enemies by pressing L1 and smack them around like a ping-pong ball. You can also activate Hyper mode, I forgot what it was called. You do this by pressing the block button right before an enemy attacks, or you can just mash the X like a madman since then it's always going to be right before an enemy attacks. You can also dodge attacks instead of blocking them, which also takes away a little bit of your ki bar. Every ki attack, super and ultimate attack eats away your ki bar, which oddly enough regenerates by itself, which I found disappointing because I prefer charging it myself like in Budokai 3. And then you have the ultimate attacks, which in most cases are just stronger versions of the super attacks. every character has his or her own super attack, like Goku's Kamehameha, which sometimes change for characters who can transform such as Frieza. The standard attacks are mapped to the face buttons, square for weak attacks, triangle for attack that you can charge, circle for ki attacks and the cross for blocking. You can choose from 21 characters from the DBZ universe spanning between the beginning to the Cell saga. It's also the first Dragon Ball Z game to be released for the next-gen consoles. and i don't mean rip scenes from the show and have the narrator speak over it to sum up a whole 10 episodes in 1 minute.Keep in mind that this is my first reviews I've ever written.ĭragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is a fighting released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in June 2008. i only wish they reintroduce actual cut scenes so that not only fans of the show will know what the heck is going on. all in all, worth buying over the other 2, for most characters, best fighting engine, and enhanced 1 player. and now the 3rd one has cut out entirely the moving lips at all, leaving us with little standy's that resemble comic book store displays. the second one broke that concept with dialog between two cut out posters that had moving lips. what i do miss with this game was "interesting fight transitions" the first one had fully animated cut scenes voiced by the English actors and progressed just like the show did. you actually fly around the planet looking for your enemy to fight. it's one player mode has also dramatically improved, especially over the 2nd one. they've taken the combo system of the 1st, the beam wars of the 2nd (though i never saw it happen in the 2nd one) and now adds more with it's lightening fast teleport system. Of the 3 budokai games, this one has definitely perfected it's fighting system.
